About Our Okemo Rental House

Our Contemporary Ski House is less than 4 miles from Okemo Mountain Resort.  It is situated on 10 private acres in the South Hill section of Ludlow, VT with lovely views of Okemo Mountain.

Before we built our house we rented a lot of others and this is what we learned from them before we built ours: 

• There's a large mudroom for skis, boots, boards and coats.  Please leave your shoes here - it keeps the rest of the floors clean and dry!


• The kitchen is large and open to the family room with a big island.  It is well-stocked with everything from cookie sheets to cork screws.  There are filters for the drip coffee maker, the spice cabinet is equipped with most anything you'd need to make a great meal. 


• The family room has a woodstove, satellite TV and lots of seating  (don't you hate those houses that sleep 12 but only seat 3?).  We've even got a mitten and hat warmer (dryer) on the hearth next to the woodstove.


• There are 3 full baths with plenty of hot water (we've NEVER run out), so no one has to wait to take a shower after a long day of skiing / boarding / sledding.


• There are 4 bedrooms (1 has a queen size bed, 2 have double beds, and 1 has two combo futon / bunk beds) and there's also a sleeping loft with 2 double futons, complete with lots of blankets and pillows.  Linen service (sheets, pillow cases and towels) is available for an extra fee or you can bring your own to save $.


• There's a large driveway that can usually handle 5 cars without the need to jockey them around when someone needs to get out.


• There's usually DRY firewood stacked inside on the rack in the mudroom along with buckets of kindling.  We leave some firestarters out next to the wood stove for each rental group.
